Welcome
The Dinkenesh Fund is a UK charity that helps needy animals in Ethiopia. It was founded in 2000 by Kate Fereday Eshete, an Englishwoman who has lived and worked in the northern Ethiopian Highlands for almost a decade.
In the absence of a suitable local NGO as a partner for The Dinkenesh Fund, Kate has set up and run several projects to help animals: Animal Birth Control (for dogs), Equine Rescue, and Primate Rescue and Return to the Wild. These are funded by The Dinkenesh Fund.
Kate and her family recently relocated from Gondar to Dib Bahir, a remote rural district 120 kilometres to the north-east, next to the Simien Mountains National Park. Kate will continue to run and expand the animal projects at the new location.
URGENT APPEAL TO HELP TWO CAPTIVE BABOONS. For information, see 'Primate Rescue: Bonk and Leoul' in the NEWS section.
Registered Charity No 1091225
